A New Citizenship

In following Jesus, Paul reminds us that we are called to lay down our earthly citizenship in exchange for one that is greater and bolder, worthy of Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice. In becoming a citizen, we may find opponents and face suffering. That is exactly why we need other like-minded citizens to stand firm with us in the trenches.
