Thank you for your interest in joining the Kids Camp 2025 team! Here's all you need to know to make Kids Camp the best week of your summer.
Complete these 6 Steps:
1. Check Your Availability
Can you do these dates and times?
1. Kids Camp 2024 is Monday through Friday, July 14-18, from 8:00am until 12:20pm.
2. The essential All Counselor training session is Saturday, July 12, from 9:00am until 12:30pm.
3. Orientation for First-time Counselor Team is Tuesday, July 8, from 6:30pm until 7:30pm.

Counselor
Ministry Mission: To be a leader and friend to a small group of kids so that they have an amazing week of learning about Jesus, practicing new skills, and making friends.
Responsibilities:
Welcomes your group of campers and helps everyone feel comfortable. Encourages kids as you lead them from the rally to Bible Ex to your activity and to the closing rally each day. Builds relationships with the campers.
Encourages the kids to participate in their activity and helps them feel good about their efforts.
Requirements:
Has attended New Song for six months.
Completes a ministry application and attends essential training sessions.
Loves kids and wants God to use you to build into their lives.
Is ready to have a blast!
Spiritual Gifts: shepherding, encouragement, teaching, leadership, mercy.
Assistant Counselor
Ministry Mission: To assist a counselor in leading a small group of kids so that they have an amazing week of learning about Jesus, practicing new skills, and making friends.
Responsibilities:
Works with the counselor to shepherd the campers during Kids Camp week. Builds relationships with the campers.
Helps lead the kids from one place to the next.
Encourages the kids to participate in their activity and helps them feel good about their efforts.
Requirements:
Has attended New Song for six months and is involved in the middle school or high school ministry on Sundays and during the week.
Completes a ministry application and attends two essential training sessions.
Loves Jesus and loves kids.
Is ready to have a blast!
Spiritual Gifts: service, helps, shepherding, encouragement.
Responsibilities:
Works with the counselor to shepherd the campers during Kids Camp week. Builds relationships with the campers.
Helps lead the kids from one place to the next.
Encourages the kids to participate in their activity and helps them feel good about their efforts.
Requirements:
Has attended New Song for six months and is involved in the middle school or high school ministry on Sundays and during the week.

Counselor Admin Team
Ministry Mission: To help with the administrative tasks for the Kids Camp Counselor Team so that everyone has what they need and the week runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Participates in the Counselor training sessions, helping with preparing the materials and the food, answering questions, and distributing all the supplies and swag.
Helps prepare all the things that the counselors need throughout the week. Assists with other administrative tasks or shopping errands as needed.
Requirements:
Has attended New Song for six months or has references from past ministry experience.
Walks with God and is willing to be led by the Holy Spirit.
Has a team player attitude. Is willing to flex and serve as needed.
Loves excellence and will do whatever it takes to get the job done.

3. Complete Your Application
If you want to join the best week of the summer, it’s time to apply!
If you are 18 or over use the Adult Ministry Volunteer Application.
If you are 18 or over use the Adult Ministry Volunteer Application.
If you are 6th grade through 17 years old, use the Youth Ministry Volunteer Application.
4. Be Child Safety Approved (SP4K)
If you are new to children’s ministry at New Song, we have some checks to be sure all the kids are safe.
1. Attend the SP4K (Safe Place for Kids) training on July 12 from 12:30pm until 2:00pm (following the counselor training and lunch).
2. Get fingerprinted at Live Scan. (We'll tell you how.)

5. Come to Kids Camp Counselor Training

6. Pray for Kids Camp
We are excited about what God is going to do in your life as you serve him at Kids Camp, and about what God is going to do through you in your campers and the rest of the Kids Camp team. Pray for a great week for you and your campers.
